About the Project
FOMO is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange focused on understanding the impact of the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on young people's wellbeing and everyday life.
Throughout the project, participants will explore the psychological and social aspects of FOMO, share experiences with peers from different countries, and develop practical strategies to build healthier digital habits, improve communication skills, and promote positive mental wellbeing.
Using non-formal education methods, teamwork, and intercultural learning, the exchange offers a safe environment where young people can reflect, learn from one another, and grow together.
Objectives
Raise awareness about the causes and effects of Fear of Missing Out (FOMO).
Explore practical strategies to reduce digital anxiety and improve wellbeing.
Strengthen communication, teamwork, and intercultural competences.
Encourage healthy and responsible use of social media and digital technologies.
Promote active participation and mutual understanding among young people from different European countries.
Increase participants' awareness of the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme and the EU Youth Strategy
Methodology
The project is based on non-formal education, where participants learn through experience, cooperation, and active involvement.
Activities will include interactive workshops, group discussions, simulations, reflection sessions, team-building activities, intercultural evenings, and participant-led workshops. Rather than traditional classroom lessons, the exchange encourages learning by doing, allowing participants to share ideas, develop new skills, and apply what they learn in their daily lives and local communities.
